Description
Reiki (pronounced ray-kee), is a holistic, gentle, non-invasive practice used to re-energise, de-stress and relax. Reiki originated in Japan, discovered by Dr Mikao Usui in the 1900s and is the flow of spiritual, universal energy transferred through a practitioner’s hands to you, the client. The practitioner’s hands are placed just above, or, very lightly on the client’s body. This gentle process aids the flow of energy through the body, relaxation, balance and harmony to benefit the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of an individual.
Reiki does not require the removal of clothing and is usually practiced with the client sitting on a chair or laying on a massage table.
